Overview
Glowvera ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Glowvera app, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:
- Photos you upload: When you submit a selfie for transformation, the image is sent to our server for AI processing. It is not stored after your transformation is delivered.
- Device information: Basic device and platform data (iOS version, device model) used for diagnostics and improving the app.
- Purchase information: Subscription status is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment details.
- Usage data: Anonymous, aggregated data about which features are used, to help us improve the product.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate your AI aesthetic transformations
- To manage your subscription and unlock premium features
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To respond to support requests you send us
Face & Photo Data
What face data we collect: When you submit a selfie, the image may contain your face. We treat this as sensitive data.
How it is used: Your photo is used solely to generate an AI aesthetic transformation. It is transmitted securely over HTTPS to OpenAI's API for image processing. It is not used for any other purpose — including advertising, analytics, or identity verification.
Third-party sharing: Your photo is sent to OpenAI solely for processing your transformation request. Under our API agreement, OpenAI does not retain submitted images or use them to train models. No other third party receives your photo.
Retention: Your photo is deleted immediately after your transformation result is returned. We do not store, cache, or retain photos on our servers.
User consent: Before your photo is processed, the app displays a disclosure explaining that your image will be sent to OpenAI and deleted immediately. You must tap "Continue" to proceed.

Photos & AI Processing
Photos you upload are transmitted securely to our AI processing service (powered by OpenAI) solely for the purpose of generating your transformation. We do not store, share, sell, or use your photos to train AI models. Images are deleted immediately after your result is returned.
Third-Party Services
Glowvera uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- OpenAI — AI image transformation (images are not retained by OpenAI for model training under our API agreement)
- RevenueCat — Subscription management
- Apple App Store — Payment processing
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate the app (listed above), and only to the extent required to provide the service.
Data Retention
Photos are not retained after transformation delivery. Anonymous usage analytics may be retained for up to 12 months. If you contact support, emails are retained only as long as needed to resolve your issue.
Children's Privacy
Glowvera is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Opt out of any future communications from us

Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. We do not store photos or sensitive personal data on our servers beyond what is required for real-time processing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
